The Sift in Minecraft Dungeons II: regions, tides, ichor, bosses

Where it sits in the game

Dungeons II drops the level-select of the first game for one interconnected world, and adds jumping. Rifts open across that world; walk into one and you are in the Sift. The story: the ecosystem is out of balance, angry illagers have formed an Illager High Council, and you journey "across both the Sift and the Overworld to uncover the source of the strange events". Early on, heroes "stumble on the Sift" and find the illagers' plan already underway.

Regions

Officially named: the Meadow and the Carapace; other areas "kept secret". The community wiki maps the shipped dimension as:

Humbler Huskland: The Echo Den, Ichor Ponds, Ravines
Lullaby Hills: Illager Stronghold, Lullaby Hilltop
Singer's Meadow: Choral Glen, Singer's Portal, Wild Meadows

We have not matched "the Carapace" to one of the wiki's region names. Humbler Huskland is the candidate; unverified.

Systems unique to the Sift

Sift tides: Flow, Endure, Thrive. They change soul gathering and traversal and are visible as different states of the landscape.
Ichor: multicoloured, thick, burns Overworld creatures; natives immune.
Souls: the dimension is "teeming with souls"; Echo Golems are powered by soul blocks made by Singers (press account).
Moving platforms appear in official screenshots.

Enemies and bosses

Full list on the mobs page. Bosses: the Monarch and the Sculk Monstrosity; mini-bosses Dartback and Harmonizer. The Twisted Warden is a quest target in the game but is listed by the wiki outside the Sift's own roster.

How much of this reaches Minecraft?

Unknown. Mojang says only that it is not yet detailing "how the dimension will differ from its Dungeons II version". The Minecraft reveal showed a pink meadow and a blub; nothing else above is confirmed for Java or Bedrock.
